Professional Experience

• Thomas is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in Corporate/M&A, Banking & Financial Services and Funds & Investment Management.
• He has substantial experience of advising multi-national corporations and private equity firms on specific corporate transactions, companies structuring, formation and restructuring as well as on joint ventures, M&A transactions and corporate governance matters.
• Thomas supports his clients in all aspects of major group restructurings, insolvency matters and liquidations. He is frequently appointed by the Luxembourg commercial court to act as judicial liquidator and bankruptcy receiver of commercial companies.
• Thomas has a sound experience of representing domestic and international lenders and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions including secured and unsecured lending, senior and subordinated financing, project and acquisition financing or refinancing, as well as asset-backed financings.
• Thomas is a seasoned investment fund lawyer and has more than 9 years of practice in establishing regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds. He advised initiators and alternative investment fund managers with respect to their private equity, venture capital, debt and real estate fund products.
• Before joining Volckrick & Associates, Thomas worked for almost 4 years in the Corporate/M&A and Banking & Finance practices of a top-tier law firm in Luxembourg, and for more than 9 years in the Funds & Investment Management and Banking & Finance practices of a top-15 Luxembourg law firm.
